Pidurangala Rock is a massive volcanic rock formation in Sri Lanka, located north of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, that is popular for its panoramic views of Sigiriya and for its historical and religious significance. Climbing the rock involves a mix of stairs and bouldering, with a 12-meter reclining Buddha statue located in a cave halfway up. The climb offers spectacular sunrise and sunset views, and the rock was historically the site of a monastery built by King Kashyapa
